In 2007, I had a double mastectomy. Never gave any thought that a mirror & clothes would be my enemy. I knew without a doubt I had to do something about this. Digging through all my breast cancer material, I found Women Supporting Women. I grabbed my mom and just went. It was lunchtime and just one person was in the office. I’m crying and begging this lady to help me look better. I did not have to cry or beg, she invited me openly into her arms for support and comfort. She also fitted me with 2 very precious items to help make me look and feel better. At the time when I needed this the most she never asked anything of me. I support, and encourage everyone to help J/R’s The Place for Ribs, and Women Supporting Women in their fight for breast cancer. Everyone knows someone affected by breast cancer.
